2010, what a year for ITF – the World Championships in Korea, the development of Taekwon-Do in new countries first born to traditional Taekwon-Do, the World Taekwon-Do Festival and the establishment of closer relationships with Korean government sporting authorities, including universities.  

In 2011 the ITF Korea office is scheduled to open and the ITF Administration function will transfer to the original home of Taekwon-Do, strengthening the connection with our roots and refocusing our efforts for the future.Discussion and negotiations proceed with CISM, Sport Accord and the Korean sporting authorities to continually review and ensure Taekwon-Do fulfils its ambitions and is in line with the requirements of all communities as a martial art through championships, seminars and workshops.  

I would like to thank you all – Executive members, Seniors, Instructors and Students the world over – for your dedication, enthusiasm and true spirit of Taekwon-Do.Many people refer to my father’s birthplace and his testaments. Of course, these will always be remembered.My father, and yours in Taekwon-Do, would be proud of our achievements so far.Achievement of his hopes and ambitions will be successful if we try, in all things, to conduct ourselves with courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and an indomitable spirit.
