?? 2026 ITF INTERNATIONAL INSTRUCTOR COURSE | FAIRFIELD, NEW JERSEY ??
From October 23–25, Grand Masters Trevor Nicholls and Robert Wheatley led a three-day International Instructor Course (IIC), bringing together dedicated Taekwon-Do practitioners from across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
It was an incredible weekend of learning, sharing knowledge, honoring our Taekwon-Do community, and strengthening our commitment to the art.
?? FRIDAY — FUNDAMENTALS & TECHNIQUE
The course began with a focus on basic fundamental concepts, exploring how to generate power effectively and examining the technical details that form the foundation of ITF Taekwon-Do.
?? SATURDAY — KNOWLEDGE, RECOGNITION & INSPIRATION
Grand Masters Nicholls and Wheatley shared their extensive knowledge and experience, providing valuable instruction and insight to everyone in attendance.
That evening, a special banquet honored the Grand Masters, Masters, instructors, and students who continue to dedicate themselves to Taekwon-Do.
The evening also included a heartfelt tribute to Master Chris Spiller, who recently passed away from cancer. His memory and contributions to our Taekwon-Do family will not be forgotten. ??
To round out the evening, motivational speaker Scott Chesney delivered an inspiring message that encouraged everyone to reflect on the importance of perseverance, attitude, and overcoming life's challenges.
?? SUNDAY — WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RULES & PREPARATION
Sunday morning focused on competition rules and preparation for the World Championships, with presentations from three highly respected instructors:
• Master William Howard — Sparring Rules
• Master Terence Geoghegan — Breaking Rules
• Grand Master Gordon Jue — Pattern Rules
These sessions provided valuable guidance and helped prepare instructors and competitors for the demands and standards of international competition.

Many thanks to Grand Master Susan Crochet, who attended and assisted throughout the seminar. We greatly appreciate her support and contribution to the success of the event.
Finally, a sincere thank-you to Grand Master Gordon Jue and Master Nick Malefyt for organizing and hosting this outstanding International Instructor Course.
Events like this remind us that Taekwon-Do is more than a martial art. It is a lifelong journey of learning, discipline, personal growth, friendship, and mutual respect.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this weekend a memorable success!
