ITF PUERTO RICO MASTER’S CLASS & IIC IS COMPLETED!
It is with a deep gratitude and satisfaction that we the “Institución Nacional Taekwon-do Puerto Rico” have completed the highest seminar the ITF can offer with the participation of 9 countries involved. We want to thank the support of USA, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, UK, Australia, Venezuela and of course Puerto Rico.
The seminars were held at the Ponce Hilton Hotel between Oct. 3,4 & 5 2025 with the leading instruction of ITF Vice-President GM Nicholls and Sub-General Secretary GM Muleta with the assistance of Master Crochet and Master Howard.
On Friday afternoon a senior grading was held with 3 participants testing for 7 dan. Llauger Castillo from Puerto Rico, Matthew Brunger and Gavinder Sidhu from UK demonstrated all the patterns, breakings, 1 step sparring, model sparring and more for around 2 hours. Later, during the seminar it was announced that the ITF just had 3 new Masters.
Friday evening, we commence the Master’s Class where we had a full floor of participants practicing fundamentals and the basics of our art.
Saturday morning, we continued with the IIC where the 8 dan Master Crochet and Master Howard took part in the teachings along with the newly promoted Masters the day before teaching as Masters for their first time. In the afternoon we began with the patterns from Tong-il and backwards with the instruction of GM Nicholls and the assistance of the other Masters.
During the evening, we had a Pirate’s Night Dinner where the attire was themed so, having a pure and legit Caribbean atmosphere degesting a nice meal and listening to Ponce’s own traditional music “Plena”.
We continue Sunday with the rest of the patterns missing the day before and GM Muleta taught us the concepts of the implications of defending ourselves in real life and gave us a myriad of choices to defend our lives but also being safe with the laws of our countries.
At the end was the time to give thanks to the Grandmasters for teaching, the Maters for their assistance and the participant countries for their support as well as the ITF for allowing us to have this official event in the center of the Caribbean.
Thank you and Taekwon!
