Written by: Taekwon-Do South Africa - 4th June 2019
The 1st of June saw Johannesburg host the Taekwon-Do
South African Championships. Competitors, officials, coaches, assistants and
spectators from around Southern Africa descended on the stadium early in the
morning for a great day of competition and camaraderie.
This championships was an excellent opportunity to elevate
Taekwon-Do in our country. It was hosted by Mr.Norman Magua& Mrs Tanya
Magua of Taekwon-Do South Africa (TSA).
The participants all put in great effort and heart in the
persuit of placing and the standard was high. Excellent ring time experience
was also gained by all with many categories also allowing for round robin or
repochage bracketing which allowed for at least another match or chance at a
medal even if not winning the first round.
Congratulations and thank you to all involved as well as our medal sponsor Millenium konika Minolta to make such an event successful for the betterment of our art. We look forward to next years event.
