Taekwon-Do – It’s Really None of your Business
“Here are my fees, now give me my belt” is a phrase heard too often in the enterprise that is becoming Taekwon-Business. It would be a grave sin to reduce the art of Taekwon-Do to an industry, a profit-generating institute driven solely by demand. Yet, with the contemporary material-drive society this has almost become the norm, not only for Taekwon-Do, but also throughout a myriad of martial arts.

Master Choi Jung Hwa and I arrived to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 9, 2005 after spending approximately twenty-four hours travelling by air. We were greeted at the airport by a delegation from INO 68 led by Master Chew Teck Seong and given a very warm reception.

Malaysia Taekwon-Do Tournament 2005
INO68 Malaysia hosted its annual national competition in Genting Highlands from 19 through 21 December 2005. The event attracted more than 500 participants not only from Malaysia, but also from Hong Kong, India, Japan, and Singapore, reflecting Malaysia’s role as one of the pioneers and leaders in promoting Taekwon-Do in the Asian region.

Ottawa ITF schools host Mr. Mike Morningstar
A black belt test in Taekwon-Do is a special rite of passage. Such an event took place at Blackburn Taekwon-Do on November 26th. Mr. Mike Morningstar, VI Dan, from Morningstar Taekwon-Do in Oakville, drove down to Ottawa not only to administer the test but also to give two training sessions,
