BackTaekwon-Do Day - 11th April 2023

11th April 2023

As another year passes, reflecting on the reasons the Founder described for his creation of a modern martial art, based on simple principles of Newtonian Physics, we find they are still relevant today, 68 years on:  "the evils of contemporary society (moral corruption, materialism, selfishness, etc)".  Taekwon-Do has proven to be 'a means of physical and mental training' which can strengthen and arm us to challenge and advise those who 'fail to rule wisely'. Meanings of Tul reflect the lessons of history in every country and culture.

From day one of induction to the study and practice of Taekwon-Do, the Tenets and the Student Oath quite simply and clearly lay out the moral code which is the foundation of the tenacity and courage needed to build the self-confidence to remain on the side of justice at all times, and unite us in our stand against those 'who might seek to do us harm'.

Whilst we continue to recover from the 2019 pandemic and the economic difficulties facing all of us, let's strive to put the Founder's principles into action and, together, build a more peaceful world.
