As we think about the legacy of the Founder, Gen Choi Hong Hi, never before in our lifetime have the values espoused by the Tenets of Taekwon-Do been more relevant and necessary:

Courtesy, when undertaking the restricted activities of our daily lives that we take only what we need, respecting the needs of those around us;
Integrity, reflecting on our own actions and responsibilities, and the impact they have on those close to us and in the wider community;
Perseverance, determining what needs to be done, and resolving to do our part to achieve our shared goals;
Self-Control, recognising that our needs and wants are no greater than those of people around us; and
Indomitable Spirit, demonstrating our determination, resilience, positivity and care to work together through these difficult and challenging times.

As practitioners of Taekwon-Do, it is incumbent on each of us, without endangering ourselves or others, to do what we can to assist those around us, however large or small the action may be.

Let us build a more peaceful world.
