The seminar was conducted by Master Trevor Nicholls (VIII) from the UK, and he was assisted by Mr. Gerard Galinski (IV) from Germany.  Mr. Galinski proved to be a great asset on the day as he was very knowledgeable and demonstrated how to keep the flow of the match going, even during warnings and points awarded.

The dojang was filled with candidates.  The morning session began with a brief overview of the ITF Tournament rules current to 2014.

Following this introduction, came the practical part of the seminar.  Some students were there for demonstration sparring, so that the practical part was more realistic.  During the practical session, all candidates got to experience proper etiquette before and after the match, points awarded, warnings given, points deducted and most of all was keeping the flow of the match going with the least stoppage time.

After the practical came the final part, the theory.  This was concluded and the certification of class A or B (depending on the candidates rank) was handed out to the candidates.

This seminar proved to be a very successful one, and ITF – Éireann would like to thank all of those who made it possible.
