Trevor Nicholls and United Kingdom ITF:

Trevor Nicholls values his relationship with GM Tompkins which grew over many years from that of colleagues to friends, to mutual mentors.  GM Tompkins’ students are a tribute to his teaching, guidance and mentorship and reflect his values in their actions.

In Trevor's own words, “We argued, we sulked, we always parted with an even greater regard for each other.  He demonstrated a natural care for my students and organisation as his own.”

Grand Master John Tompkins will, without doubt, be missed and our deepest condolences are extended to his family, friends and students.
