Hi Star,

You could use them drips for bicep curls.
If surgery was easy, many would take your place.

Stay positive. Makes healing faster.

hey Bob. Sorry, yeah, i.m home now. Things are ok. I.m not sleeping well at the moment. A combination of not being able to get comfortable, fear of rolling on to my side and not burning off any energy to make me tired! Feeling a bit low really. I have to keep remindin myself why i went thru with this op. I guess once the pain and discomfort subsides,i.ll remember the reason.

Hi Star.

Distraction helps time fly by as you recover. Distract yourself !

Using the mind uses up alot of energy and therefore calories.
Explore mind games such as Sudoku, chess in Internet, write poems, visualize doing the Tuls etc..

An easy book with many helpful tips fitting for Spring is "Simplify Your Life". The one with the partial yellow cover. Covers many facets of life from ofice organization to human relationships. Many new books are offered in eBay at a fraction of what Amazon charges.

Keep your chin up !

Hi Star,

As for not sleeping well -- try soothing, meditation, deep trance music. Many are available on Youtube. I have downloaded many as MP3 file for use in calming down heartrate before marksmanship competitions and in jogging. Such music soothes the mind, relaxes the soul and helps with sleep. Tip is used by many world travellers who step out of airplanes looking fresh as morning. :-)

Thanks Bob.
If you can point me in the direction of some soothing music on youtube, i'll take a look.
I need something......getting desperate!
I'll go insane if i don't get a good nights sleep soon! I do enjoy puzzles actually. May sound a bit geeky i know, but doing word search etc helps me relax and makes my eyes tired.I may try some of those tonight once i'm in bed.
I need to do some positive thinking and some looking forward but its really hard ="(

With YouTube, you can have music playing in the background (headphones) while using Laptop for something else. Enjoy.

Hi Star,
The not-so-nice weather may have much to do with the mood.
Was that an attempt at a kijap?

Hey Al,

recovering well thanks. Seeing the surgeon again this Thursday so hopefully my reconstruction can start soon =)

Want boobs for my holiday at the end of June!!! LOL

Otherwise the new bikini's i've bought might as well go back!

Gonna ask him when i can start doing some gentle training again. They said 3 months originally but to hell with that. It's been exactly 4 weeks tpday sine my op and i'm aiming for another 2 weeks then start back gentle.Be mostly lower body work i think for a bit.Just going thru the motions.Been going thru my patterns at home sine the 7th day after my op! Good physio!

Hope you're well too?

Yeah doing not too bad thanks, I was able to kick for the first time in 4 weeks on Tuesday so I was really pleased, still bruised and sore, not got full mobility back in the leg yet, but it is getting there.

Still dont know if it will be up to grading next month though, having 4 weeks out in the run up to a grading kind of screws things up a bit, and ruins the prep work. I have put on nearly half a stone, and feel VERY unfit now too, its amazing how quickly everything goes downhill when you are off, and seems to take lots of hard work and absolutely ages to get back up to a decent level.

Glad to hear you are doing good though!!!

Well i've not trained for 5 weeks now and i've not put an ounce on!! lol Jealous??!! lol

It's a haematoma on your knee isn't it? What date are/were you grading, and where? Thats the problem with resting the leg, you lose fitness. I lose fitness in jst ONE week of not training. That's where i'm gonna struggle when i start back. Which may possibly be this week end or next.
Saw the surgeon yesterday (see my new blog on tkdsource) and providing im careful and dont do much upper body work,i can start back.I may leave it til the wk end after this one as i have just had my first boob expansion! woop woop! My chest feels like its being squozen in a vice at the mo!

Get on one of those eleptical strider things to up your fitness. No stress on knee then but
gets your heart rate up.
