Master, Sir, or Mam,

Hello.

I know there have been discussions on this before, but I donít ever recall seeing the official ITF age and time requirements between Dan levels. I believe 4th Dan is 19.5 years old? I also heard that the age for Seventh Dan was raised. Could anyone inform me on the official ITF age requirements for each Dan level?

Thank You, and TaeKwon!

There have been many discussions, but nothing official released as of yet.

Here in the UK we have the following:
I DAN - 9yrs
II DAN - 14yrs
III DAN - 16yrs
IV DAN - 19.5yrs

I believe that is the official criteria. Hope that helps

Thank you very much Sir. This does help. I would also like ages for senior ranks. Is their an age requirement for 6th on up? I heard they were thinking of making 7th Dan 40 years old. Thank you for any more input.
Thank you and TaeKwon!

I have heard about the suggested 40 and also 50yrs.

If you attain a 4th at 19.5yrs that would imply 5th at 23.5yrs, 6th at 28.5yrs and 7th at 34.5yrs at the earliest.
As i said nothing official has been released, this may or may not come up at the next congress meeting?
