Country Membership Criteria

Further the ITF Executive decision to clarify our current membership policies, there are a number of ways an organisation or school may be in membership of the ITF:

COUNCIL:
Registered INO's and MO's in a country working together under one umbrella, but still retaining their autonomy and direct like to the ITF.

INO:
This membership is for organisations and is not seen as a school-only level but for a group which consists of a number of schools which require that their member instructors are regularly viewed and screened to ensure they comply with all ITF regulations and syllabus.

To qualify as an INO, the standard benchmark or minimum level are as follows:

    1. Membership within your organisation of 1000 Kup members or more.
Kup memberships must all be applied for, along with the Dojang membership before the end of January of the current membership year.
    2. 50 Black Belt members actively training within your existing organisation.
These can be registered throughout the current membership year (January to December) but the minimum level must be attained at all times.
  • Kup membership cards and pins are applied for and distributed at the beginning of each year by the organisation.
  • Degree Membership / Status Cards are applied for throughout the year as and when required, ensuring minimum criteria is exceeded.
  • Where an INO or Council already exists in a country the minimum requirement will be in proportion. ITF Administration will make the final decision in such cases.

MO:
Member Organisations are allocated to schools who are within a country where there is no existing INO and are relatively new or small.  The MO within a country where there are no other MOs with ITF authority, assume the responsibility of an INO. Applications for Degree and status cards can be made on line, however the INO Fee cannot be deducted from the payment due. The reality of an MO in a country where there is an existing INO is for administration purposes only.

  • Kup membership cards and pins are applied for and distributed at the beginning of each year by the organisation.
  • Degree Membership / Status Cards are applied for throughout the year as and when required.

STUDENT:
Individual member.

  • Individual students may apply directly for either Kup or Degree Membership, verification of grade is subject to INO / MO confirmation.
  • Any student holding membership will have an online profile, enabling them access to the restricted areas on this site. If you have an ITF certificate verify your profile here.
  • It is not possible for individuals to apply for certification.
